Renewed Or Cancelled?
If you’ve been watching My Demon, you’ll know that it pretty much wrapped season 1 with a perfect bow. There was no cliffhanger, and most viewers were content with the finale. However, could there be a follow-up of this Korean drama? Here’s everything we know about season 2:
What is My Demon Season 1 about?
My Demon is a fantasy rom-com written by Choi Ah-il. The series has managed to get the attention of avid Korean drama fans after the talented cast was announced. Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung will headline the show. Lee Sang-yi will also be on the show. Based on the trailer, it seems like we are in for quite a ride.
The series follows Do Do Hee, a chaebol set to inherit the Future Group. She is level-headed, a bit arrogant and cynical when it comes to love. She, however, gets into a contract marriage with a demon named Jung Koo Won.
Jung Koo Won is a demon who gets immortality by making enticing yet dangerous deals with humans, causing them hellish lives. He suddenly loses his powers and scrambles to save his own life. He marries Do Hee since she has taken all of his power, and he must protect her to save himself. Soon, a romantic relationship develops between the two.

Has My Demon been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, Netflix has not renewed My Demon for season 2. Given the ratings over the weeks, it’ll be interesting to see if they actually do renew this for a follow-up.
Despite the ratings, it’s extremely rare to find Korean dramas renewed for another season. That has changed in recent years, but given the sheer wealth of talent in this that is sure to move onto other projects, we predict that My Demon may not be renewed for a second season.

What we know about season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 2 right now. Given most Korean dramas are reserved for one season, it’s rare to find these sorts of shows renewed. With the rare exception of ongoing Netflix shows (Love ft. Marriage and Divorce, Hospital Playlist, etc.), this one is unlikely to be renewed.
However, if we do get season 2, we would like to see if Gu-won manages to turn human at some point in their lives. Viewers are also curious since he is an immortal being and Do-hee is human, does this mean he will keep finding her in different lifetimes?
We will keep you updated if we hear from Netflix about the future of the show. However, don’t keep your hopes up. Song Kang has already announced that he is starting his military enlistment soon. This means even if Netflix greenlights season 2, we will have to wait at least 18 months for Song Kang to complete his mandatory enlistment.

As we have heard song Kang is starting his mandatory military service we really give our best wishes for his success and also as we talk about My Demon season 2 we really need them both for it we r really waiting ahead for second 2.
If My Demon gets a second season, it won’t be anytime soon as Song Kang is just starting his mandatory military service. I for one wish him the best of luck, and eagerly await his acting return. With that being said, I loved My Demon and would love to see a second season, but only if it doesn’t harm the existing storyline.
