Fool Me Once is a limited Netflix series that tells us the story of Maya as she investigates her husband’s murder. The show is undoubtedly fast-paced, and many may be curious if there will be a season 2. Here is what we know:
What is Fool Me Once about?
Fool Me Once takes us on a high-tension rollercoaster as Maya, played by the talented Michelle Keegan, tries to investigate why her husband was killed in cold-blood. However, is her husband really dead? If so, why did she spot him on the nanny cam days after his burial?

Has Fool Me Once been renewed for season 2?
Netflix is yet to make an official statement on whether there will be a season 2, but we knew from the beginning that this is a limited series. The show is based on one of Harlan Coben’s mystery novels, and he has yet to say anything about the show’s future either.
In most cases, Netflix gauges numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars). Other times it can take months before Netflix make a definite decision.
Even though this show has been well-received by critics and viewers alike, it is doubtful that Netflix will renew it for a second season. That said, we will still keep you updated about any future developments in the series if and when Netflix give an official announcement.
What we know about season 2 so far:
We hate to disappoint you and to be bearers of bad news this early in the New Year, but we won’t be getting a new season. First of all, the main character is dead, and there is not much to see in a new season.
The show perfectly wrapped up all storylines; as we have said above, this was meant to be a limited series. This means that there will be no sequels and the best we can hope for is a spin-off or even a prequel. Your best hope is to wait for Netflix to announce their next Harlan Coben project!
