Dead Ringers is a deliciously dark and thrilling miniseries about twin gynaecologists, Beverly and Elliot. If you enjoyed watching Season 1 of this show, you may be wondering if it has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:
What is Dead Ringers Season 1 about?
The show is loosely based on David Cronenberg’s 1988 film of the same name. But where the film revolves around two male gynaecologists, the series looks at two women. Beverly and Elliot Mantle are twins, geniuses in the field of gynaecology, who want to open their own birthing centre. The key twist is that they often take advantage of their identical looks and swap places — for relationships, for work and more. But when Beverly becomes close to a woman she’s dating, the twins’ dynamic begins to crack and fall apart.

Has Dead Ringers been renewed for Season 2?
At the time of writing this Dead Ringers has not been renewed for a Season 2. Prime Video and other streamers tend to use a variety of different metrics to gauge whether a show is renewed, including completion and drop-off rates as well as the minutes watched.
That said, Dead Ringers has been described as a limited miniseries and its ending doesn’t leave much scope for pushing the story forward (seeing as there’s only one twin left). Writer Alice Birch reportedly called the ending of the show a conclusion, not a cliffhanger. All in all, we predict that Dead Ringer will not be renewed for a second season.

What we know about season 2 so far:
There are no available details for Season 2 as of now. Should a season 2 be greenlit, it will possibly continue exploring Elliot’s life as Beverly. Maybe more of Beverly’s secrets will come to the surface?
However, the ending of Season 1 completes the story very well and stretching the story might make the entire thing redundant.

Oh, come on! I didn’t think of this as a cliffhanger at all. It just seemed that it would continue. If not, what was the point of the story to begin with??? Maybe I missed something. I think it needs at least one more season.
Beverly needs to come back fir. Season 2 to work. I hope Beverly kills Elliot!
It was incredibly exciting and i would love for a season 2!! It really did feel like a cliff hanger to me, like it would be so cool if tom found her body and like saved her then they continue on their stories seperate for a season or less and then coming back together because it’s not like anyone else thought she was dead in the show like she just said her sister was gone. So what if she came back later and there some crazy twist like they been switching their whole lives and that was the real beverly all along👀👀 I just feel like theres so many directions they can take it!! Like what happened to her body then? How did she get rid of it? I don’t know at least a second season for elliot living as beverly would be cool at least
Beverly is not dead. Do not leave us hanging like this. Give us another season. There is a setup coming. I know it. Let us see it.
I agree with other comments- Beverley could be alive…is alive…and so its not the end of tge twins…but even if she died the story coukd continue exploring their life pre adulthood, the parents, the fascinating story of the help who is an artist…the dead older homeless woman…more unusual births, pregnancies…its just the beginning! Pleeaase more of this- atleast another 2 series… excellent writing, cast and pleasantly surprised at Rachel Weiss- shes goood.
I World like season 2, and I believe that Beverly is alive, and need time for her alone and living a New life , and with the help of Tom saving her life and living with the other babys until she can reunite with Elliot
We don’t know for sure that Beverly is dead. I mean, wouldn’t they find her body in the lab? And, what was that scene w Tom driving?? Rebecca seems to know it’s Elliot. I see a setup!! I hope it gets renewed! They could do more!!
I absolutely LOVED this show! It was exciting with all the twists and turns. I was hoping both twins survived but made us think that the real Beverly died, so that they could secretly both live as Beverly. I would absolutely love to see a second season, great writer and intriguing story. Kept me on edge, I couldn’t stop watching it!!!
